Hull #33 One story on the new boat: We were headed home from Key West. Winds SSE @ 12 to 15 kts. Moving well, but a bit bumpy. Out about an hour when I spotted another cat behind. "Wonder if he's catching us." An hour later: "Is he still gaining?" One more hour: "He is catching us." Four and a half hours after the race (Sorry, cruise) started, he came around. I wasn't too disappointed; he's 38 feet. On the radio: "Half Moon, this is Orion, the cat on your port beam. Do me a favor and tell me your engines are on, because mine are." "Orion, this is Half Moon. Sorry, I can't tell you my engines are on. From the stern, you can see that they are pulled up out of the water. But, thank you. You have really made my day." |
