We kept #2 in
Maine this past summer and made her available for bareboat charter. This was a great opportunity to
explore the bold coast of Maine and discover a truly unique power
catamaran experience. The charterers loved its
spaciousness, ease of handling and fuel efficiency while it gave us the
opportunity to tweak all elements of the P-47. We've all waited longer that we wanted to
for the P-47, but getting it
right for our customers was and remains "Mission #1". Here she is, our first P-47 production unit.
View "Moxie" on the water: Powered
with Yanmar 4 BY2 180 hp common-rail
diesel engines, the new P-47 will be visiting the boat shows this fall.
We've succeeded in designing a
one-of-a-kind powered catamaran that is making history. It is
roomy, comfortable, safe, FAST and FUEL EFFICIENT. Those last two
qualities are hard to come by in a traditional powered yacht.
During the sea trials we determined the P-47's maximum speed, fuel
consumption at various cruising speeds, sound level, and handling
characteristics. She exceeded
our design expectations.
Our production line is
now underway - bringing you a unique yacht for your cruising pleasure. Thank you again for your interest in the new
Maine Cat P-47 and let me know if we can be of any assistance in your search
for the perfect power cruising catamaran. Dick |
